Hello friends!
I hope this week has been treating you well!! I love summer, have I told you that? If you read up on the 10 facts about me on my About me page, you will know that I am Brazilian. And as a true Brazilian, I LOVE the summer and the beach and all things hot (except spicy food)! All that to say, that this summer I have been spending as much time as I can at the pool and beach!
In speaking of summer, pool and beach, I recently got my summer box from Causebox! Causebox is a subscription box that sends you 6-8 hand curated products for women. The beauty of this box is that all the products have a story that makes the world a better place! Causebox’s tag line is ” Products that change lives”, how cool is that?!
The box comes with the products and a magazine. The magazine tells us what each brand does to make the environment and/or people’s lives better. I absolutely love that because you don’t have to try and figure out what the brands are about and how they are helping the world.
I think every brand should work for a cause. If we are making products to be consumed, a portion of the money of those purchases should go to saving the environment and helping people have better lives. Causebox not only supports brands that give back, but they also give back themselves.
Here are a few of the charities they support:
- Freedom Firm: seek to eliminate child prostitution in India by providing rescue, restoration and justice for victims of sex trafficking.
- Speak Your Silence: counsels and empowers victims of sexual abuse and assault to share their stories.
- The Jessie Reese Foundation: helps kids with cancer by connecting with their families, providing resources they need and bringing awareness to their stories.
- Trees for the Future: plant trees and provides income, food , empowerment and education to families in Africa
- Books for Africa : donates books to students of all ages in Africa
So here is what I got!

- A bikini bag made out of recycled water bottles (but I use it for books)
- A shawl that you can wear as a scarf or cover up for the beach

- A stainless steel tumbler that keeps your wine cold 😉
- A powder face cleanser by Hanalei
I loved every product in this box! but I think my favorite one has been the bikini bag which I have been using as a book bag for the beach and pool! the bag is waterproof and I am able to keep my books protected while traveling to and from the beach and pool.
